The UTM, with more than 38000 students, consists of 15 institutions distributed as follows: 9 institutes, 2 chairs, 2 schools, 5 doctoral schools and 4 faculties including the Faculty of Sciences of Tunis (FST). The FST (whose full name is Faculty of Mathematical, Physical and Natural Sciences) was founded in 1960 and it is the first nucleus for modern teaching in Tunisia. The FST has six departments and 8000 students (all cycles) and 495 teachers including 145 professors. Today, the FST offers 4 Engineering Programs, 9 fundamental licenses and 4 applied licenses in different Specialties.
